We should just go independent and set up a cakewalk schedule like poser Notre Dame.

Said partially tongue in cheek, but we would perenially make the playoffs with their schedule.

Their big true "road test" is...BYU.

What a joke.

Being in the SEC has gone from an advantage in the BCS era to a disadvantage in the expanded playoff era.

The grind of an SEC schedule has always been the difference. The SEC should stand up to Notre Dame special treatment. Stankey and company hate us more though obviously

I agree they have a cupcake schedule but BYU is fun to watch. Those Mormons play hard af.

Imagine being celebrated nationally for tip-toeing through a 60th ranked schedule strength.

No we wouldn’t. “We” wouldn’t be “us” with that schedule. Would have less money, worse coaches, worse players, less fans—nobody wants to watch that schedule—in all 3 big sports. Our brand would diminish fast. Some of y’all really have a difficult time with long-term thinking.

very slow. Don't look like it against ND. Sound team but ,500 team in the SEC.

You just know that the media and pollsters are salivating over putting the Golden Domers #1.

You are a duncecap with no understanding of modern CFB. Do you really think LSU FB would have fewer fans, less money, and worse coaches if we were making perennial runs to the playoffs against a weaker schedule? Use your two neurons in conjunction.

I didn’t say they were good or talented. I said they play hard. As in effort and mentality.

As a Notre Dame and LSU alumni I disagree. I try to get excited about ND football, but most games are boring. LSU is always exciting. I would rather lose some with tough opponents than win all playing cupcakes.

If you can’t make a 24 team playoff, it doesn’t matter what your schedule looks like. They’ll have 8 sec teams in

LSU is not a media darling that would get constantly propped up in preseason polls like ND does. You are fooling yourself.
