No we don't because Miles would just use him like a RB and never throw and when he would throw, he probably would look horrible. To think SL would be the same guy in that offense is pretty funny.

SL has worked hard but a big part of his development is Weiss/Kiffin and their scheming. Just watch how Kiffin runs his WRs anyone knows anything about offense has to see nothing but a thing of beauty.

I don't think people realize how much Kiffin is overachieving with his mediocre set of WRs. He just schemes people wide open. Miles? he would just man up HB toss dive and throw on the corners all game. Wouldn't even be in the same stratosphere of offense for SL.

Probably but he’d be terrible against that bama team but a lot better than Jefferson

Miles would have still chucked his golden boy JJ back in at the first opportunity

Mobile qb's gave Bama fits back then. Leavitt is far superior passing the ball compared to Jefferson.

Sam's passing skills would have made a difference.

As good as that team was I still don’t think a 6 year old could’ve played high level college qb.

Your assumption is you think SL would look good passing in a more pro set offense that LSU ran then. You would be wrong. LSU was obsessed with throwing on the corners under Miles and that's Leavitt's weakest part of his game right now. He loves throwing in the middle and MIles was terrified to do that with his QBs.

Leavitt would have taken off and given bama's big, slower lb's trouble.

He'd be on the bench with Miles after his first hero play of turning the ball over. I don't think you remember Miles very well. Just because SL thrives under Kiffin doesn't mean he could significantly help LSU in 2011. He's actually polar opposite in just about everything with how Miles used in QBs then.

And you're wrong on that Bama D too. Both the LSU/Bama D that year were historically good. Nobody remembers LSU's D that year because we didn't win anything.

Perriloux was the closest thing Miles had to Leavitt. His future was bright and you could see Les let him do his thing. Then Casinos, ugh.

Saban started recruiting smaller faster lb's after that season. He knew big, slower lb's were about to be a thing of the past.

yup. saban still used a big front 7 then made precisely to stop les miles ground game. later he evolved to smaller faster guys to defend the spread. he did not need that against miles. plus miles was dumb enough to run into brick walls.

we had a good line and 4 good rbs. all leavitt woulda had to do was pass enough to open up PA passing off our runs and his scrambles. he easily woulda been just as good as Aj mccarron. they ran basic plays and short play action passes.

the surrounding cast woulda been light years better than what we have now on O and D. now with an O the D would not have given up 21 either. poor guys were worn out by the 4th hanging on for dear life watching miles keep JJ in there then eventually miles quit on the team handing off and punting.

Doubtful they let a 7-year-old play college football
