Yes, Haynes King’s dad, John, played offensive line at Springhill High School. He went on to a stand out career playing offensive line at Northwestern. His dad is in the equivalent of Northwestern Hall of Fame for athletics.
Haynes’ grandparents were long time educators in the Springhill school system. Haynes is named after his grandmother, her maiden name. Yes, LSU recruited him for QB and he was interested, but but we already TJ Finley and Max Johnson committed. It’s funny, all three of those guys are still playing college football in their sixth year.

Mom was All-State at WM in softball in 1989 and I have known her since we were little kids.
