Maybe so, but the guy truly loves the school.

BTW, he still has strong HS connections in the state. I just think it would be a mistake to fire him

So does nearly everyone on this message board, but you probably wouldn’t want most of us to be the head coach.

That’s a lot more than you can say for most coaches at the schools they work for.

Loving LSU is great, but it’s simply not enough.

He recruited these players who have performed poorly

Who cares? That doesn’t mean he’s owed anything. He should be criticized for not taking a knee tonight at the end of the game. Ridiculous

Okay, then let’s at the very least not throw away the relationships he’s built with HS’s around New Orleans

What specifically did Frank do to bring in an elite player that a big bag of money didn’t? Be specific.

He's a good recruiter and person.

He also never had a chance at being head coach. Anyone that said or implied it doesn't understand things.

Imo he hasn't been a very good rb coach but I'd keep him on staff as an analyst or rb coach.

Again, he’s not a HC. He’s the guy they asked to limp this shite show through to the end of the season. He isn’t going to be the HC

I guess my question is this? What do you hope to achieve at this point by bitching over this?

He’s not HC material- but he’s still a valuable asset - it’s not his fault the team is currently dysfunctional.

again, SPECIFIC examples...

Ask Nick Saban. Neither can dominate like they used to with recruiting.

It was confirmed that Berry came here for less NIL than at least Texas offered. Frank and Raymond have been able to do that with several LA players.

HS coaches still have influence over players, especially when money is equal or close. You don’t think firing him would be seen as a slap in the face to them.

Kifffin hired him before at UT, so we don’t have to worry about your stupid arse opinion anyway.

I want the people wanting him to be the HC to know he isn’t an option. I want you to STfU

The only “relationships” that matter in this era involves the number of commas on the check and how far the plane can take you to go buy the talent. The “recruiting” pool goes WAY beyond NOLA.

So let’s say a kid has he same monetary offer from several schools, but has a personal relationship with Frank.

You realize the clearing house sets the value on a kid? That said, I’d much rather have good relationships with the HS coaches.

It can’t hurt.

He shouldn’t be coaching the RBs going forward IMO. If they want him as a recruiter that’s fine but not as the RB coach

Because whomever they target they can pay the player $$$$. You really think guys are going to lineup come to LSU for Frank fricking Wilson vs getting paid elsewhere?
