Seems to be a decision looming on who to offer between these two and it will come down to camp.

Stevie is drawing interest from Bama as well and I guess really likes Jim McElwain .

Should be an interesting "battle" to watch play out.

Stevie has a weird arse throwing motion. He needs to go to a real HS program and get some actual coaching.

I am far from a qb genius, but douglas' awkward throwing motion makes me feel less than confident.

get the two in camp and let 'em sling it side by side. more interesting, just put 'em together in a thunder dome with a written offer on the other side for last man standing.

I like Oliver better, but neither would be my top choice at QB. Saw Oliver in person at WM and he didn't impress me, but his WRs had maybe the worst game I've ever seen for WRs.

Is that really much of a battle? Oliver > Douglas any day. Do you want Stevie overthrowing routes and then yelling and telling Kadron Boone he needs to quit the team or get with the program????

Stevie plays on a team that has the authenticity of the Sigma Chi flag football team.

LSU will never offer Douglas, who plays in a league with 8th graders playing...literally. They may end up offering Oliver, but they have a number of other guys above him on their board. My guess is that Oliver leaves State to Big 10 or Conference USA. There is no decision "looming between these two."

I think LSU will take two QB's next year one from OOS and one of the in state QB's.

I'm not sure what you are referencing but everytime I see Stevie I think of JD McCoy.

This makes sense to me. Schools like two or even three a year, with one or two being guys who they can move elsewhere if they get squeezed at QB. Are any current QB's trasferring from LSU...I haven't heard anything.

They are bringing them both in to camp this summer to evaluate. Told them both they could offer...

Isn't Douglas a big LSU fan? If he doesn't get any major college offers, maybe he'd be willing to walk on

You want an up close look at guys you are unsure about, so that is good. I do not understand the Douglas hype! Where will he play this year?

I like Douglas for one reason: he gets the ball out quick. His line is so bad that he normally has about a second to get the ball out of his hand. He hits the end of his drop and the ball comes out. I've read where people question Oliver's decision making at times. Oliver definitely has the edge physically but I think Douglas has the edge in the intangibles department.

Also I had heard he enrolled in Central or wherever it was he was considering. I dont know though

I don't know too much about the kid. I'm just going off what little info I have about him.

On the MTV True Life that Stevie was on he was overthrowing kids in practice and then he yelled at them for not catching it, etc. Just caught him in a few moments of poor sportsmanship..
