Officially released from NLI. I read on the 247 sites that A&M is the favorite. Probably means we are with how this recruitment has gone

Approx an hour and a half from N Houston to College Station.
However, it seems like Evans would be better off moving further away from all his home/Houston influences.

I guess anything is possible. But there is multiple CBs to aTm and multiple "insiders" that wrote articles over the last 2 days saying the expect Evans to verbal to aTm next week.
Of course he could verbal and back out again. I expect the aTm to happen next week. What happens after that is another story.

Everybody keeps mentioning Gibbs like it’s a surefire thing. He’s still committed to another school, and there hasn’t been an insane amount of smoke of him actually coming here. I still don’t get why people think we are getting him 100% and we can count on that. Evans will most likely go to A&M, probably give us a 10% chance we take a risk on him. Bradford could be our guy.

And then...
Since we started looking elsewhere, we can't afford to swing back to Evans and risk dumping any headway we've made with any other RBs.
Whomever we started pursuing, can't see us as having Evans in the mix because that's what caused the 'Plan B' in the first place. It has nothing really to do with Evans, but everything to do with the other RBs.
ETA: this assumes Evans even fully qualifies academically. Which I do not think he does at this time.
