I keep hearing people talk about how when we start beating Bama that our Louisiana kids will stop heading to Bama and stay home. It seems kind of like what comes first the chicken or the egg. I think we can beat Bama next year and that we will beat them ever so often but in order to really turn it around we have to have our best Louisiana boys staying home. When our own fans and even alumni are telling kids in the community that if they want to win a Championship they had better go to Bama it is hard to blame the kid. It is not about being prepared for the NFL because like it or not our guys have performed as well or better on that level than Bama’s athletes. It is about believing that we have the coaches to win with and that the athlete believes he is good enough to make a difference at LSU. If we want our kids to believe LSU can win our fan base needs to do the same.

It would be nice if other teams weren't able to so easily find a La HS coach that's so ready & willing to come home and pillage the state's best talent by negatively recruiting against the flagship institution. Seems the coaches and kids can't wait to hurt or embarrass LSU along the way.

I think fans are bothered by how it's happening more than the fact kids are leaving the state.
