Guessing LSU sent out texts with the official wording graphic. Probably short video or mp4 file…seen any posted?
Going to be a very strange recruiting cycle since there will be no walk-ons. Tons of kids will effectively forced into the portal, since PWO+NIL was kind of standard for every specialist that wasn’t a starter.
Tons of kids who had offers probably didn’t get an official yesterday since the rules changed.

I must be behind. What’s this about?

With profit sharing (I’ve been told it’ll be a monthly check estimated about at your NIL check) there is no way to have walk ons…for whatever reason.
There were 85 scholarships plus 35 walk ons (if teams chose to fill them all)…so ~120 on the roster. Next year there will be 105 roster limit with every player on scholarship.
It’s nutty for specialists, most of the best punters in the country simply went in-state on PWO+NIL…and then competed for a scholarship. Seems like now there’ll simply be far fewer specialists playing at the next level.
Saw somewhere that this change is 2000 fewer roster spots overall.

I would imagine only the Power 4 schools are going to fully fund 105 scholarships. Smaller schools will simply award partial scholarships to the players 86-105, or they may elect to just have a squad of 100 or 95. I'm sure each school is developing a plan, but even they are unlikely to know the specifics right now.
