Thought it was interesting that we only bring back (1) WR and that is Phillip Wright III.
Ashamed to say I know nothing about him. Don’t remember his recruitment at all (4* on some services, 3* on others) or him playing this year. Looks to be a freshman, assuming a redshirt for 2025.
All the talk has been about not retaining OL but we actually kept quite a few of those depth pieces as well as keeping starters Moore and Davis.

He is a speedster from one of our best pipelines. Has great upside.
What people outside of Louisiana (well those that haven’t been here or coached here) don’t understand is the bond of the state. Lane mentioned it, Saban talks a ton about it. There are lots of mid level ranked guys who are willing to be depth pieces for a couple of years because they love the state and it is a massive sense of pride for them and their family. Obviously this day and age eventually if they don’t play or seem like they have an avenue to play, they will leave for NIL.
I personally root a little harder for the under the radar recruits from the state.

That's a 4.35 equivalent in the 40 on the running calculator. He's pretty damn fast, and probably faster now.
