I like Brennan but he is not nearly as talented as Young is. There's a reason Brennan has never started.

I'm not arguing over who is more talented. There's a big difference between being a veteran 4th year player and someone who is just entering college trying to learn a new system. Young isn't even guaranteed to be their starter next year.

Been told this also, don't be surprised if this kid flips and if we keep all the other WR commits then no big deal. Know one knows at this time the future and his ceiling, Boutte is wanted and coveted as an LSU recruit but if he choses BAMA then let him go.

The percentage of recruits that decommitt is around 15% or 3 to 4 per class and we along with everyone else have to accept this. The transfer portal is the bigger issue facing college teams.

Quit babying these damm guys.
it's also all of the former media types that give them so much air time.. quit giving them air time about it from sept 1 through signing day. recruiting should be between the coach and the player(and his family).

Shut up Young is a 5’10 175 lbs QB who’s coming to the SEC from Cali to play QB. Let’s not crown him before even completing a pass yet

We are not crowning him anything. We are just saying he is super talented. Same goes for any player before he steps foot on campus. He has to prove himself. But this kid also has the potential to be very good

There’s a lot of QBs with those same accolades that end up being bust

How do you know that?? You a family friend?? Look, these kids change their minds like days change, that's just the way it is. And with Saban always trying to and succeeding a lot in stealing talent from LSU, you have to always hold your breath until the LOI is in.

Tua came from fricking Hawaii. Doesn't mean shite. Young is a mega talented QB who other recruits would like to play with.

I think Bama has more to offer just because Burrow and Tua wil be gone next year and bama has the number 4 player in country coming in to play quarterback next year. That’s extremely attractive as a recruit
Tua sat out nearly his entire freshman year. Do you think this new kid will start?

Yeah same goes for a lot of positions. Derek stingley had plenty of accolades and he was a stud. Same can be said for this guy if he continues to develop. Talent is definitely there. There’s a reason he’s number 4 player in country

Yeah but that was because hurts was proven and had already started a whole year. Next year at bama they have nobody proven and have no clue who will start. I expect Young to be starter at some point next year. He enrolls in January too

California QBs don’t pan out too much. Especially the ones trying to come play in th SEC

His right...but as long as he's looking at other options, we must do the same.

I have no idea where these idiots get these ideas that because a kid is a 5 star in HS he is going to be better than a veteran player who already has college experience.

It's possible. Lawrence took the starting job from Bryant last year at Clemson. But even if Brennan is better than Young next season, a guy with that much talent will eventually overtake him.

I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about and just how ignorant that statement really is.

Maybe he hasn't started because he has been behind a Heisman trophy candidate for the past 2 seasons. Other than that he was a true freshman. and not many true freshman start, much less have good seasons when they do. How long have you been evaluating HS and college QB's? Obviously you are not very good at it.

Then I don't see the problem. He needs to decommit and commit to them. Quit wasting time.

First off Burrow didn’t look like a heisman QB really at all last year. Second there’s a reason not many teams recruited him out of high school. 3rd he’s been in program multiple years and has never made much noise. He probably won’t ever be a great QB. A five star feshman and top 5 player in country on the other hand who enrolls early could definitely beat him out.
