Seems like we should go for Chucky Hunter, with Davenport's potential attrition.

Whoa, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

The kid will see the light. I have a feeling he comes out in the Spring on a mission.

Morris Watts for OC in 2011! BRINGIN' BACK DA MAGIC!

Watts is the OC for Miami of Ohio, there are 5 former LSU coaches on that staff. That was the first team that Fla. played this year.

Do you mean the Miami of Ohio team that is currently ranked 103rd in Total Offense?

My opinion (which like most is worthless) Davenport should be moved to offensive line.

at best he will likely be an Al Woods types who plays a year or two

That's the first comparison I thought of too...hopefully, someone puts a bug in his ear, & he motivates himself, because the potential is there. We don't need him this year, but over the next two years, time for him to step up...

Chris Davenport = Al Woods

Lots of hype, didn't exactly live up to it. He'll get there eventually and be a decent contributor IMO.

I don't want to downplay Woods at all. He was a solid player for two years and was a big space eatting DT. Those guys don't get the stats, they take up space and allow others to make plays. The Woods and Favorites of the world have a place and allow the Nevis', Dorsey's, and Kelvin Sheppard's on the team to make plays.

Granted, I never expected a whole lot from Davenport, but I'd be happy with him, if he plays some his Soph and Jr year next to J. Downs, Ego/Copeland and Freak and starts his Sr. year.
