i think it depends on the question. If the simple question is "What's XXXX's 40 times?", which is something they can go to rivals or scout and look up themselves, then that deserves criticism. When the question is "What's the latest scoop on xxxx?", which is something they can do a search for themselves and see what the last post made about that person was, then that deserves criticism. When they ask "What time does something start?" which they can use google and find out for themselves, then that deserves criticism.
All in all, what I see a lot of is just a bunch of people that are either 1. to lazy or 2. to stupid to go find the information themselves.
Those that do look and can't find what they are looking for, preface the post with "I've google searched and searched this board but can't find the info I'm looking for", THEN they ask their question.

For me, it was fun the first couple of times and then it got old, especially when I had a short break at work and actually wanted to catch up on, you know, recruiting.

Yeah, but I'm 7'1" and weigh 347 lbs. all muscle. For practice, while on this site, I bend my keyboard into the shape of a pretzel and back again.

Your solution, in theory, is a good one. However, if we do that then no one will ever actually listen to the advice. The idiots who post repetitive stuff are not the kind of people who respond to intelligent and helpful advice well. They need the same treatment as a puppy. You have to remember the idiots that knock other posts, or look for misspelled words, or search the entire board in case it as been posted before so they can let you know, have not football knowledge what so ever, so this all they can post. I personally would prefer single threads about the same subject rather than 20 threads on the same thing over and over again. I think people do it just so they can be the thread starter......makes them feel more popular I guess,
