re: Why does LSU always seem to get 5* CB, WRs, ATHs, but never any 5* O or D linemen?

Louisiana rarely produces good Olinemen. We get our fair share of 5* dlinemen

Fair share my arse. As a top talent team, we have gotten TWO 5 star DL in the last 10 years. If we get Maason, it would make 4 in 12 (Davenport in 2009 who switched to OL), which is horrible for a team that has rosters only less talented than Bama, Ohio St, and maybe UGA (I'm talking the entire 2010s). Also over that time we got TWO 5 star OL.

Teuhema is the only 5 star lineman that we have gotten out of state, and the only reason we got him was because we took his brother.

Look at Clemson, Bama, UGA, and Ohio St. They get top lineman every year out of state.

Elite OL are rare. Bama, OU, and OSU are really the only programs that consistently recruit them.

Probably add UGA and Wisconsin to your least. Or at a minimum Wiscy is damn good at development.

Alabama always gets the top linemen and everybody else fights over the rest.

Offensive line, linebacker, and QB are positions you have to go out of state to recruit.

Regarding linebacker- it’s tough to say that when all 3 of Alabama’s starting linebackers are not just from Louisiana but from Baton Rouge itself
