actually had no ides he was even a football player…..he had a hunting/fishing talk show in central Mississippi until he passed away several years back. I am shocked that I didn’t know this!
I think that was his dad.

Whats the story on Anthony "A-Train" Thomas going to Michigan
At the time I remember being bitter that Michigan was just that much better of a program and it was a no brainer he went there

Couple from the far side:
1) Terry Davis - from Bogalusa and chose Bama over us. Became Bryan's first wishbone QB in '71. Who knows, without him, maybe we beat Bama in '71 and '72. FTR, Davis was a heckuva wishbone QB but he wasn’t better than Bert Jones.
2) Ryan Perrilloux - as the story goes, Ryan was committed to Texas which left Colt McCoy looking for a landing place (probably us). But Ryan flipped to us, and Colt went to Austin. As football fate would have, Perrilloux's mess-up here started a chain of events that would doom Les. I guess we can only imagine how things would've played out with Colt McCoy succeeding Matt Flynn in '08 and '09.

I mean, it's got to be. He won the Heisman. From Amite.
Now, we had Chase, Jetts and Marshall, but still.
(ETA: I mean, the only Heisman winners actually born in Louisiana are John David Crow and Devonta Smith. Neither went to LSU.)

Was in a dorm taking summer classes and poof, was gone.
That's kind of what happened to John David Crowe. He was at LSU until Bear Bryant drove in from College Station and whisked him away to Aggieland.

None of the guys on this board you’re mentioning LSU missed on. They were being paid at the time and we didn’t come up enough money it’s that simple
