When I was a freehman in high school was the year I really got big into it, that was our 2002 class
Local guys to me were Alonzo Manuel, JV, and Nate Livings

This. I remember picking up the paper one day and reading about a HS kid with 900+ yards rushing only 4 games (I think) into the season. Then my jaw hit the floor when I saw "QB" by his name. Keep in mind mobile QB's were somewhat of an oddity back then. Needless to say I found myself looking for his name every week in the papers to see what this future Tiger had done. I wouldn't say I became I die hard like some of you who follow recruiting, but I find that it has now become part of the experience......sort of a warm up that gets the excitement and anticipation flowing the way the spring game used too, only now much earlier.

When Saban came to town. Before that I didn't even know what recruiting was. I've followed every class since then.

94-95. Was introduced to recruiting magazines through a friend. Read (word for word) the Jeff Whittaker recruiting annual. Was mesmerized by extensive information on an athlete named Kevin Faulk. Been hooked ever since.

i payed attention since 2004 ish, but i really got into it in 2008. seen some great recruiting classes since that time and this one is no different!!
