Where's the state pride? I'm just not seeing it these days.

I mean, guys like Patrick Peterson, Craig Loston, Russell Shepard, Sam Montgomery all had big time offers from their home state school. What is wrong with them? Jalen Collins, Jalen Mills, Danielle Hunter, Tashawn Bower, Ethan Pocic. Tony Brown, Edward Paris, Clifton Garrett.

Just imagine how good LSU would be if they showed "state pride", and opted to play for their top instate home school.

Quit being cult-like hypocrites and understand that recruits aren't tied to a state, or a school.

I am upset, but it is the kids choice and he has to live with it. LSU won't crumble cause we lost C Rob or any other recruit. You can't have it both ways.

This meltdown has been epic and fun to watch our finest LSU fans lose their marbles.

I'm just trying to imagine pulling the top OL Alabama recruit out of Hoover. You think those droolers would take it well?

The biggest breakout star of the college football weekend grew up a Bama fan and lived less than an hour from Tuscaloosa. He plays for Florida State.

shite happens.

A state is merely an artificial construct.

Haha seriously...

We lose a couple of guys a year at the most to other schools, and suddenly there is no state pride. You do realize we get over 85% of the in state players that have a legit offer from us right?? Majority of other states cant say that.

Dont bitch and say we dont have state pride anymore because we lost 2-3 guys to other schools. Talk about how youre proud of the other 85% of the in state players with offers from LSU that come here.

When youre in a state that is a hot bed for talent, especially this year, and is in the heart of SEC country, youre going to lose a few guys to other schools. Every state that has big time players lose big time recruits to other schools. It just happens.

And isnt the LSU roster comprised of about 70% of the players from the state of LA?? Theres your state pride.

I think the difference is we've been told that Cam Rob "grew up an LSU fan".

Is Alabama the hot bed of talent like Louisiana is year in and year out??

And youre not just pulling the players from Alabama away from the UA. Youre pulling them away from Auburn too. Both are 2 big time SEC programs. Harder to pull a kid away from 2 in state schools than it is from 1 school.

Dude, there's 5-10 people in my tailgate crew who are "LSU Fans". That doesn't make them out to be as big of fans as you and me.

Exactly.

And theres a difference in growing up a fan of a certain school and choosing to go play there. Imagine the playes in a state like Illinois. Im sure they all grow up a fan or a school from the state, but if they are a major football recruit and have the opportunity to go and play at schools with major football programs, do you really think they would choose Illinois or someone like that?

Being a fan is 1 thing. Putting your future and football career in the hands of a school is another thing.
