I am not trying to be negatiger but RS is very small. He is an amazing athlete.
If he plays QB will he be able to see down field? I think he is just 6' and 180 lbs, but fast as one can be.
I guess what I am saying is that RS dominated Texas HS football, but I think everyone else is catching up with him.
I hope that he wins a friggin Heisman but I think his lack of size will come into play

To give you some idea of how I see it, when I heard someone suggest that the LSU crowd should chant"Ruben, Ruben" at the B ball game Sat., I thought, "What about the other important recruits there".
They should chant for the BB team.

So can Alabama say the same about their 2008 class? And how about all of those National Championships USC won from 2005 to present with a few #1 classes. This class alone won't win LSU shite. This class plus other top classes, plus desire and commitment from the players, plus great coaching plus a little luck...that's what wins MNCs.

i know this is blasphemy in these parts, but lets hope moffit doesnt over bulk russell and turn him into a TE. i feel like every skill player comes here and loses speed b/c they add too much size. i know shep needs to add some muscle, but i hope not at the expense of his speed and wiggle

I like that Shep sees recruiting as doing business. He wants to win a National championship and knows that he has to surround himself with really good players to do that. He wants a good recruiting class because this is where he's playing. He'd do the same whereever he signed because he thinks smart. He doesn't see himself as an island.

I love this about him - he's a hustler. If he remains this way, he will go far in life whether on or off the field. IMO
