the Tuscaloosa area that Bama really wanted? We may blow off losing kids from Baton Rouge but it’s a sign of the recruiting disparity between the schools. Tim Williams, Christian Harris, Dylan Moses, Chris Allen. This is why one is consistently on top and the other fluctuates. I won’t even get into the rest of the state. One thing is for sure Louisiana kids have made huge contributions to Bama’s success while Alabama kids have contributed little to LSU’s. You can blame our coaches all you want, but that little brainwashing guru that coaches Bama gets in these kid’s heads and convincing them they need him. It’s all about recruiting and he does it better than anyone else. As far as coaching? Meh he’s 50/50 at best against teams with equal talent which is why his arse left the NFL. And looking at National Signing Days and the NFL drafts he’s played very very few teams with equal talent since coming to Bama.

Since o has been coach the only Louisiana player we where after that bama took was big ish sospher and he was a bust. This false narrative that bama is cleaning house in LA is dead

Based on the simple geography, except for Mobile, we have to out recruit alabama, auburn, and Georgia to get kids from most of that state.

Dylan Moses- Had a personal relationship with Les and got butthurt when we canned him. If we land him then we never get Jacob Phillips. We came out substantially ahead.
Chris Allen- committed and signed when we didn’t have a head coach. Happens. We also landed Patrick Queen and Jacob Phillips that cycle and Chris is going into his 5th year and hasn’t started yet

I despise Saban only pointing out that LA kids and parents enable him. He’s a great recruiter but his coaching is mediocre yet he has the whole nation brainwashed. It makes me sick to see LA kids buy into his bs. It’s the Jimmy’s and Joe’s not X’s and O’s. Hopefully NIL will help. Just pisses me off to see hometown kids not only leave state but to play for our arch rival.

He’s the absolute best recruiter in the country and as a head coach he is also the best. The job of a head coach is to put a system in place and get every one below you to buy in and that is what makes separated Alabama from the rest of the country and the greatest dynasty of all time.
I will say he isn’t the best on the field coach but he is well above mediocre.
