LSU coaches still feel pretty good

LSU is Jernigan or bust....we aren't taking anyone else but him and Rasco for DL.

It's looking real good on Rasco

The Tigers should be able to get Rasco, but do you think if Miles & co. feels Jernigan is headed elsewhere that they'll go ahead & give a late offer to Chucky Hunter?

Something tells me Jernigan will end up at LSU. No sources, just a gut feeling.

Almost everything that came out last night and today was implying very strongly that UF was fading fast. Then later this evening there were rumors he was at UF visiting.Who knows and i will stick to the person that told me that UF is not really in it anymore(he's a very well informed Gator fan;knows his shite)

Kadillak,I'm not a real optimistic person when it comes to OOS recruiting and LSU but I tend to have the same feeling as you.I've studied all the info and none of it tells me he's coming to LSu but i just have that crazy feeling that he is going to decide to get away from Florida and go to LSU.Just call it a hunch.

For what it's worth, Chris Landry didn't sound very confident about LSU landing Jernigan in the end. He was very optimistic about Rasco and basically said look for Rasco and maybe a greyshirt to join the class.

Not sure how connected Landry is with recruiting, but I respect his talent evals much more than Rivals, Scout, etc.

I also think Jernigan will come to LSU. It's a similar situation to Montgomery last year IMO except I think Les made the impression on Dad....not just mom.

No sources.....just a feeling

Talked to Lake City Columbia head coach Craig Howard tonight briefly to see if there was anything new on the visit plans for Tim Jernigan and what Jernigan thought about the FSU visit.

"I haven't had an in depth talk yet with Tim about the FSU visit but I'm sure I will do that when I get back in town. I did talk with several people close to Tim that said he had a very good time at FSU. I know in talking to Tim's Mom, she was very impressed with Florida State and really enjoyed the focus they had on academics and how her son would fit in at Florida State. I think for the coming week Tim will follow through on the promises he made to visit UF midweek and then take his final official visit to Tennessee this weekend. Tim is expected to announce his decision on ESPN on NSD at 11:00 AM."

I've confirmed with people in Florida that Timmy Jernigan has turned down a trip to Florida and will visit Tennessee this weekend. He is bringing family with him and will be flying out around 4:30 tomorrow. Credit goes to Chuck Smith who has worked not only Timmy but the family. Hope u guys enjoyed the headline!

Don't think Tennessee gets him, but I think we are much closer in the race than this board wants to think.

And according to sources close to Tennessee's coaches, they feel that FSU is the team to beat.

His coach is trying to boast Florida once again? No way. I'm surprised Newberg even put this up

Did Freak enroll at Hogwarts?

I would think he is busy studying...

Mike Farrell said this morning on Rivals Radio that Jernigan has turned away from LSU. Looking more and more as if he's going to UF to become a Gator.

Farrel knows about as much as anyone .... nothing.

He is basing it on nothing. Last week he said we were the leader based on nothing.

Rivals is a joke.

I think he picks FSU, but to take Farrel's word for it on prospects that are close to the vest is dumb.
