So much stuff, or just so much more than in the mighty metropolitan Auburn, AL?

What is so great about Baton Rouge outside of anything associated with LSU? Nothing really imo. That's why Baton Rouge isn't superior to Auburn for a college student.

Several Shopping centers, malls, attractions, theaters, casinos, nightclubs, music scene, concerts, etc.

I think I just proved that to be incorrect.

I'm not jumping into this argument, I think its childish, but you definitely didnt prove your point by listing these items. Auburn has all of this except casinos, and the casinos in BR are trash. I've lived here for 6 years, I love it. But its not that much better than Auburn for a college student. Better for young professionals , but not that much better for college students.

Are you saying that Aubbie has as much of that stuff, and to the same level as BR?

The existance of that article is irrelevant. A simple search of Google can provide you the true facts, which I posted, and which debunks your silly notion of 70% of Auburn's population being confined to a mobile home. Then, after you take into account the small number of mobile homes in Auburn, and also combine that with the aforementioned group of those people choosing to live in a mobile home due to the expenses of an apartment, and that entire argument is pathetic.

there was a newspaper article on the web from maybe 5 or so years back about how Auburn, AL had an insane percentage of people living in trailers per the U.S. census. And since the Opelika Time Gazette or whoever doesn't keep archives these Aubies are just going with "YOU ARE A LIAR" as their defense.

this right here is why Auburn people are hicks and your town sucks. Where else on earth is this considered the norm?

HE claimed to have read an article which said that 60-70% of Auburn's population lived in a mobile home, with the source of the U.S. Census Bureau.

So, I looked for that article, couldn't find it, and eventually just went straight to the U.S. Census Bureau's website and looked up housing statistics for Auburn. Only 7.6% of housing units in Auburn are mobile homes.

I'd like to burn down the loveliest village on the plains just as much as the next guy, but as far as attractions for college students, its not that bad. I've been there several times for games, and its a great place. We had a blast, and yes they have theatres, shopping malls, and nightclubs. Have you ever been? There is actually more than Uncle Johnnie's farm in Auburn.

The fact that you are still clinging to that article is funny, seeing how I linked you to the actual statistics, which prove you wrong.

7.6% of all housing units are mobile homes. Obviously it is not that many people, so obviously it is not the norm.

I'm not reading this thread, I just want to go on record as saying Auburn has a great stadium, awesome pregame traditions, perfect unis and the second best fight song in the SEC.
