Couple of morons that have never been to AU (Maximus and Slow Pro) ran their mouth too much and a few Aubies and others happened to notice.

AU is a rural town that is filled with AU students and complete hicks. their team is coached by a guy who absolutely failed in his last stop.

excuse me for askin why any recruit, let alone top recruits, would want to be a part of a boring farmer town under a failure of a head coach

This thread has really highlighted your ignorance, lack of perspective, and immaturity well. I would just drop it now.

Let me keep this simple: You stated yourself that you have never been to Auburn thus stereotyping Auburn as just your run of the mill small rural hick town.

lack of perspective

Are you aware that not everyone has the same preferences as you, in what they find appealing in a college or town? I've been Baton Rouge, had a good time. LSU fans are good fun but for ME, quality of life seems much higher in Auburn...but hey, what do I know. I'm just another dumb hick from Alabama. Too each their own.

and nothing stated said otherwise. i know plenty of people who have been, and read other people's posts about it on here. you don't have to experience everything first hand to have a good idea of wha't sup

hell the AU fans were agreeing with me. their argument is that rural area is where you want to be for college. i strongly disagree

quote:

Are you aware that not everyone has the same preferences as you,

yes, and i've said that

and i've asked many times why you'd want to spend the 4 best years of your life in a rural area

quote:

but for ME, quality of life seems much higher in Auburn

because there is more open space? 10 times less things to do? more cow shite?

let's not forget, rolling trees is a MAJOR event in Auburn. that's what you have to look forward to

and it's not just me. why would any kid from an urban or semi-urban area even consider auburn for these reasons?

i mean Auburn is a solid program, but they're not bama. or even texas. i can see kids going to bama for the tradition, because some people are all about that. and saban is a world-class recruiter, so it's not shocking. chizik, up to this point, is an absolute failure as a head coach in D1 CFB

I can't understand someone from Lake Charles bad mouthing Auburn. My brother went to grad school at the barn, it was way cooler than Lake Charles.

Lake Charles is a lot more urban than Auburn, which has a population of what? 30k non-students?

and i didn't go to school in lake charles. i was born here, and i'm here for a job at the moment. show me where i said LC was an ideal spot to live, or more importantly, where you want to go to college

When has Aubbie featured a back "like Seastrunk"?

AU has produced and is better known for great backs than LSU.

So you should be able to answer the question, correct?

quote:

And now AU is going to an offense that is basically tailor made for a back like seastrunk.
You guys moving Seastrunk to wideout?

quote:

You will see in the way Fannin is utilized this year. Although he is bigger than Lache he is a converted speedy shifty qb/wr that will be a focul point of our offense.

Actually recruits seeing the way this season plays out is what most other schools are counting on. . .except AU and UT.

i like how AU's new offense is "tailor made" for seastrunk, as if LSU doesn't have a spread guru running the offense and as if we don't sprinkle in spread option elements. the difference is our spread guru's offense was proven in the NFL and SEC before 2009

Remember what Trooper Taylor did at Tulane? Probably up to the same tricks.

It is funny that you continue to refer to the people in Auburn as hicks when I have provided links that show half the people in Baton Rouge do not have any teeth, the education level in Auburn is far superior to Baton Rouge and the property values in Auburn are also far superior to Baton Rouge.

With their bad hygiene and sub par housing and education, the people of Baton Rouge would fit most people's definition of a hick a lot better than the people in Auburn would

According to SlowFlowPro's logic, people in Baton Rouge cannot be hicks because they live in a big city

Actually, AU is a larger mixing pot of students from different back grounds than either LSU or Bama (for comparisions sake as the two state universities). AU pulls a lot of students from the greater Atlanta area and the Florida panhandle. Also, AU has a surprising number of foreign students all things considered.
