At this point, let's be patient. It's only 2 games.

If we keep up these offensive numbers, and keep winning, the recruits will want us. It won't be hard.

Brennan will do very well next year. He has all the arm talent in the world and he will get significant playing time in 3-5 more games this year. He'll be fine.

I'm not a big Brennan fan, but I think he deserves a fair shot at the job next year. Unlike other qbs that have jumped ship at other schools, he has stayed around and put his time in. I think we will get a good look at him this season in some of the smaller games. Time will tell!

Are we recruiting any 5 star QBs?

Haynes King was once all LSU. I think we are making a mistake not going after him and having to play against him at aTm.

yep I agree with this.
he is always on the sidelines fooking off and laughing.
every time burrow goes to the sidelines and puts the headset on Brennan is laughing with the other walk on qbs

he needs to mature alot and really get serious.
I'm not seeing it yet

They will come. Look at the attention this offense has brought to Joe Burrow. Elite QBs want attention; lots of it.

CEO is probably looking at the potential graduate free agent market for another Burrow qb for next year.

Why would he do that?

The rant
has told me Brennan is the next coming of John Elway

QB;s - 5 star only -

Like Brandon Harris. I'm pretty sure he was a composite 5 star, if not he was a very high 4 star. Not about the stars, it's about evaluation. Les Miles and his staff were horrible at evaluating HS QB's. Dak Prescot wasn't offered until very late, by then he had built up allegiance to Miss St. And Dak was no 5 star, 3 I believe. I'm hoping Ed and his staff will be much better evaluating QB's than Miles staff was. Russell Shepard was a 5 star QB in HS, how many snaps did he take under center at LSU? I don't recall even 1. Maybe Joe Brady will be a lot better evaluating HS QB's than Miles and his staff. So far everything Brady has been a part of has improved drastically.

Miles’ problem was significantly more a lack of development of QBs and failure to adjust the offense to the talents of his QB. His play not to lose mentality and fear of the turnover basically neutered his QBs. Those he brought in as freshmen who were not foundationally developed else where.

Harris’ sophomore year starting was no worse than Burrow last year, Etling’s junior year or Mett’s junior year. His freshman year he was an unafraid gunslinger. Then the Miles neutering took effect. When he left here he was a basket case who, like Miles, had a deft fear of the turnover. Miles had successfully scared the gunslinger out of him.

When Harris or any other QB is used as the poster child for bad QB play or Miles’ inability to evaluate QBs, it should include an asterisk notating that the reason more likely than not could be Mile’s inability to develop QBs and fear driven offensive philosophy. Hell, Miles took the Heisman trophy out of Fournett’s pocket because of his fear based conservative offense against Bama that set Fournette up for failure against them.

If you choose to piss on former LSU QBs under Miles, at least recognize Miles’ contribution to the QB quagmire. Those QBs were just 17-18 year olds with talent who chose to come to LSU to be fully developed. Miles and his system failed them.
