Landon Collins has the starting job for sure next year and HA HA (what an intelligent name) Clinton-Dix will most likely be leaving this year for the draft. All i know

Collins will leave after next year and Hootie will step in as a sophomore and start.

So Hootie must want to play 4 years at bama like collin? What are the chances Hootie will get buried in the depth chart at bama with the ones already there and the next year wave of 5 stars safety. It is just a bad business decision that Hootie might regret and Jamal Adams run with it like Eric Reid.

Vinny Sunseri (Sr) and Landon Collins (Jr) will start
Jai Miller (RsFr), Geno Smith (Jr) and Jarrick Williams (Sr) provide depth

Bama is just that shiny red button that some people just have to hit. Doesnt matter if its the best decision or not its just big red and shiny.

sure hootie figures his talents will get him to be an early starter. LC has shown he is as good as advertised. would make it interesting if saban really did jump the fence to Tx.

The thing is bama gets 5stars elite safety EVERY year and there is a good chance Hootie gets buried in the depth chart. The odds of him being successful and leaving after 3yr is greater at lsu than at bama. Plus, nfl scouts are starting to be weary of bama players.

I posted this in another thread, but feel it is fitting.
Proximity: We are closer
National Championships: We go to a title game every 4 years. Yes, recent history suggest he will have a better opportunity to play for a national title at Bama, but there is a 25% chance he will play for the MNC at LSU if he stays 4 years.
Draft potential: Patrick Peterson, Mo Claiborne, Eric Reid, Tharold Simon, Brandon Taylor, Ron Brooks, Tyrann Mathieu all drafted in the last 3 years. I'm sure Bama has plenty db's drafted as well but the point is, we are right there with them.
Playing time: I have no idea about Bama's roster but he would literally walk onto to the field from day 1 at LSU with a 50% chance to start.
I say all this to point out that if he doesn't want to come here, its not for "football" or "business" reasons. It's just that he simply wants to play for Alabama. The smart "business" decision would be to come here.
