Urlacher played what was called UNM's "Loboback" position. It's a hybrid type position and was the key cog in UNM's dismal pass defense and even on some run support plays. I don't know much about Chavis but from what I can tell he likes at least one LB to be just as versatile meaning they are very quick and have far above average ball and coverage skills. This is something that UNM is now doing away with now that the new coach is on board and Rocky Long has been ousted. Hopefully that will clear up that example. If ya ask me though, Urlacher playing the loboback was more essential in the pass happy Mountain West than in the SEC.

Chavis always liked moving safeties to LB.

Shhh...Chavis would never move a safety to OLB. Nevermind the fact that we will have a minimun of 11 safetys on scolly for 2010.

Not to mention that Josh Johns and Luke Muncie will be OLBs.....that is just my opinion.

Muncie is expect to play OLB.

Johns is a Safety.

Lynx i agree with this, in fact i have been told that Johns looked very good ("very athletic and fast") in one on one and 7 on 7 coverages this summer.

however already at 210 he could very well be ask to move to the same spot that Coleman will be vacating after this year.
