I don't think there were more OOS players than in-state players on the roster in '07 but your point is well taken - there were a lot of OOS kids.

I'm not suggesting that we sign players that don't want to play here (I think that would rarely happen in any case). I'm trying to reconcile how LA athletes still have great state pride in LA but no longer towards LSU. It's that gap that needs to be closer because in the long-haul that's our ticket to championships. And championships will spread our brand better than anything.

I hate to tell you, Florida laid an egg on defense and offense last year. Secondly, Muschamp has not has an offense at florida, how the hell was speedy going to be the next p.h.? he wasn't coaching florida then.

It's obvious that the players that left have demonstrated character flaws since their signing. It's nothing about lsu, atm, florida, or bama. The way things were handled came out in the t.b. arrest, the s.n. association to the two that got kicked out at atm., and while willis hasn't been in the legal news, his twitter and on the field issues have been well documented.

with that said, does that make them less of football players? no. they are fabulous athletes. However, they appear to be self destructive much like janzen jackson, sentimore, etc. time will tell just how big of loss they were.
