Right, we all know how processing/"you might want to take a look around at other schools" has always been a part of recruiting. My point was you can reach an extreme with that by dumping too many players and how do you think that plays in the homes of future prospects...my guess...not well.
I agree with your post except I don't believe there has ever been a 4 year scholarship....always year to year. A couple of years ago, I think the NCAA said that was now going to be allowed but great surprise, I'm not sure any program took them up on it.

Well you are and LSU will take as many as it needs to get to a FINAL 85 by the fall. A ton will happen between now and then. There will be many that leave after the Spring and possibly more in the summer. BK will never turn away players that will help an area of weakness. They will take as many as needed and others that aren’t qualified to make the final 85 will transfer. That is how the big boys do it.

Now that NIL has become pay for play, those days are over. Processing means nothing now. This is the backside of that sword those players have been wielding to squeeze programs for more and more money.
Look for us to lose 12-15 players to make way for this class and some portal players. Most of them will be guys who aren’t contributing, whether they leave on their own, or are told they need to move on. It is what it is.
