the absence of lance thompson to tennessee has opened up trent's recruitment. He was already a soft verbal. Now he is unsure alltogether. Do you know who richardson's favorite was before alabama?? that's right lsu. Even after his surprise commitment lsu nonetheless has not let up one bit. They have been recruiting him HARD to this very day. He even says so himself. If you take a look at the landscape taking place, it should without a doubt give him thoughts to ponder. And like he said he will sit down with his family and deciede what is best.
1. Negative recruiting aside it should be pointed out to him how saban treats his players. the sugar bowl makes this most evident and that is on national tv. Not to mention that players actually want to play for les and stay their senior year despite possibly being a first round pick. Under saban?? Not so much
2. the developments at tennessee would give any recruit pause. They are helping us more then we think, they are permanent opponets and fierce rivals. They will battle it out for recruits, i think its safe to say that it will have a definite effect on bama's success in the future. Hell the both might get the death penalty
going to bama to win championships is now underscored by the fact that lsu is still and always will be the power in the west for the forseeable future.
3. the writting is on the wall. Number one recruiting class (even with the loss of pratt which i will get too in a bit) the best players want to be apart of it with coach let it rip miles
4. as far as offenses go it's basically a wash, but i would give the upper hand to miles based on a couple things. 1. he will always have a strong line with great coaching and a power running game. With saban you don't know if the coordinator will even be there next year. Edge LSU
5. Now dexter pratt. I don't know how inner coaching circles work but i would bet they all knew lance was going to tennessee wwaaayyyy before we did. the grapevine is strong expecially hebert being best friends with orgeron.
I think that as soon as miles found out about lance, i guarngoddamnteeyou he got on the phone with richardson as soon as he found out. Of course we don't know what happened with pratt of course, but it's safe either one of two things happened. 1. he got some info from the coaches when he got here about recruits or playing time OR okla st got his mommy and daddy a new job at a bank with some wheels
I don't know if the two are related but lance goes to tennessee, miles calls trent, likes what he hears, tell's pratt to REDSHIRT. He says no thanks and goes where he can get playing time as a freshmen.
trent will be here next week and i give us more then a 50 50 chance
remember when we were bummed out from losing luther davis then guess what something better comes along in slidel corley.
now that pratt is gone and the circumstances have changed with bama and lsu in favor of lsu i like our chances.
as beyonce says "are ya ready for a upgrade"

Obviously chances are better now than they were, still Bamas to lose though.

I was excited when I saw the title of the post.
I then tempered my expectations when I noticed that Dreaux was the poster. For I knew it would either be sunshine pumping or Bama obsessed.

I agree with the title of your thesis but little else.

Dreaux's lighting his own farts here, but I like his tenacity and confidence/hopefulness.
