That's your opinion and I'm fine with that. Two weeks ago, you're opinion was that Vincent wasn't a D1 prospect. He's gotten 2 D1 offers in those two weeks. There's plenty of time for your opinion to evolve.

And you base this on absolutely nothing...

I base it on knowing the level of competition the two played in week in week out. If Runner played against the same schools that Moore did he'd be taking a major step down and Moore would be taking a major step up.

There is no arguing that fact.

No one said there wasn't a difference. What you said was that runner would have better stats in the MPSA than Vincent has in the MPSA, which is utter BS since neither of them have ever been on the same field or played the same opponents. Most people bet on the bigger, stronger, and faster player in that situation. One other thing, I wasn't great in high school, but I worked out with the starters at Neville and WM and ran drills with them in high school. If some people would get off of their throne, they might notice that a good player is that, a good player. And by some divine miracle, there is the possibility that there is a better athlete at RO than at Neville, Ouachita, or wherever else in Monroe.

I'll post the RO stats in a minutes. It'll be the team stats so there's a lot to weed thru. I can tell you Vincent averaged 8 yds per carry on @90 carries, 19 yds per reception and 29 yds per kick/punt return for something over 1600 all puropse yards. On D, at SS, he had @59 tackles, 5 for a loss, and 3 int's.

Otis...I respect that you pull for the "little guy" at the "little school". Bottom line is LSU will not offer this kid and I will be very suprised if any sec school offers him. Wish him the best of luck but he will not get any serious attention playing at River Oaks.

Not saying he isnt a good athlete or that there are no great athletes coming out of RO, there are. Sam Herman is first to come to mind. If Moore or Herman had a 4 or 5 A o-line for them to play behind there is no telling what they could do but it's hard to say without that ever happening. No I can honestly say Vincent is a very good safety.

I'm not good enough to cut/paste etc. his stats from the ledger on the school's site and I don't want to plaster the team members up here with their names, stats, etc...that'd be trouble. You can access that data at the school's website, though.

Guess we'll need to define "serious attention". An LSU offer is a long shot for most college bound athletes. In that sense, Vincent is in the majority, and LSU isn't even on his wish list. Time will tell where he goes...I just find it a bit amusing that 3 weeks into the camp circuit a kid who "wasn't college material" has 2 D1 offers, plus another, and without question more on the way.

Recieved word that when the Scout.com rankings are revised/updated , this prospect will be up the chart big time. He's already academically qualified, too. He should, hopefully, hit a couple of SEC camps in the next month.

Otis, Is my boy Lance helping him? I know lance mentioned to me a kid that was legit when I saw him at the scrimmage in LC.

Can you get me a list of the dates of scouts combines? I cant find them on their website.

Thanks

Yes. Lance is a receiver coach for him. The SMU coaches were impressed with his technique...a credit to Lance. He's about to be "big time" and Lance deserves alot of credit for working with the kids.I'll look for a camp link. You need to bet that linebacker/fullback to the U. of Houston camp in Longview on Tuesday. He needs to go to the defensive skills camp at Tech coming up soon, too.

Are you talking about Josh Hinds?

Get me some info or a link to the camp in Longview.

I think all of this is great for MPSA or whatever there calling themselves now.

Are you going to the basketball camp in jackson the 28th of june??

Thats awesome about Lance. He would make a great Head Coach if he took it on full time.

Yeah, your right. Neville played against more D1 prospects when they played WM than RO played all year. That's not counting OPHS, Ruston, Marshall TX, Bastrop, Leesville, Northside, McDonough 35, Lutcher, and Franklinton. I'm sure our guys would have hell running away from those slow skinny white boys. It's not like we had the highest strength of schedule in 4A and still won the State championship or anything .

Moore may be able to hang but the kids he's playing against from week to week can't. He's not playing against kids with equal or more ability from week to week like he would if he was at a 4A or 5A school. Teshadi Talton is a smidge better athletically than Runner and wasn't a full time starter at WM. He's about to tear that league a new a-hole.

These dudes aren't gonna know what hit them:

Riverdale
Washington
Porters Chapel
Glenbrook
Union Christian
Prairie View
Trinity
Riverfield
CENLA
Claiborne
Central Hinds
Bowling Green
Brookhaven
