Not really. His head coach and I think o-line coach both played at Auburn. It's a 2 hour drive from his home to Auburn. Maternal grandmother and uncle live in Georgia as well as immediate family including his parents and sister. Auburn recruited him very hard; Chizik recently attended one of his games. Glad to see the staff could overcome those obstacles and convince them that LSU was the better place to be! I'm sure the big win over Florida and Auburn's beatdown at Arkansas didn't hurt!! Congrats to Vadal!!
