There is a LDS Temple in Baton Rouge so that will help and the LDS Population is growing in the area.

Both are Mormons...= LDS, Latter Day Saints...

Crowton is also a member of LDS and recruiting Martinez and Su'a Filo.

yeah being 1700+ miles from home it wouldnt hurt to have someone (crowton and the church) helping you make the transition to your new home and be there for you if you ever need something.

Who thinks they actually take their mormon missions. And if they do, when will they do it, during or after college.

100% guaranteed they take them ... probably before they start school given what they've indicated. one thing about mormons on the average they take their faith seriously. a lot of big time prospects go on missions every year, but it doesn't worry me. look how well byu does with a bunch of mediocre white kids. i think it's because their teams are so old and mature.

With the hotbed of talent that is Utah, we should never be in trouble in recruiting.

Thank you John Smith.

I will admit I am pretty ignorant when it comes to the Mormon Faith. What does a mission include, what do they do. Can these players still practice, weight lift, train while on mission. Do they leave the team and the school completely during this time. If anyone can elaborate on this, please do, I would like to know more on the specifics of the mormon student athlete

its not 100% guarantee they take them

XSF or his Dad said in a recent update that not every morman does the mission and he has not decided if that is what he is going to do

I still think they do but it is not a guarantee they do it

he can just do his mission on a bike down Gardere after practice. I'll donate the short sleeve button down and clip on tie.

Mormon Missionairies

applies to all mormons, athletes included- analogous to David Robinson and the Navy commitment, except mormons serve their church instead of the US Govt
