... You might be right. That's a good point. Times are different.

Why's a thread about Urban Meyer in the LSU Recruiting Board?

OP asserted:

"There is a chance of a whole lot of talent possibly transferring w/ immediate eligibility. Talent that has established relationships with Joe Burrow"

Those text seem to show that they had issues but nowhere did they say my husband is beating me. Also, ignoring and covering up are two different issues

I was just rephrasing what is being reported since there was no info in OP, but if he didn’t disclose this to the AD then I could see it being a violation of some state law or policy. The text supposedly detail where Urban’s wife knew there was alleged violence, not just problems and that Urban had discussed it with the coach. Even if he doesn’t believe the allegations, he likely still isn’t allowed to make that call himself and is supposed to disclose to OSU that one of their employees is being accused of beating his pregnant wife.

If you do a little google action, you will find the pictures that prove the beating.

Yep. Meyers wife mentions the pictures in texts, specifically says she’s afraid for her safety, then says she has to tell Urban. Later she says Urban spoke to the coach, the coach denied everything, and Urban doesn’t know what to think.

So Meyer either has to throw his wife under the bus as a liar, or admit he knew. I’d say it’s a coin flip.

You can’t fire a man cause he knew!! He didn’t commit the crime! Yes he shoulda fired him on the spot but I don’t think he should lose his job.

You kidding? If he knew a coach of his was beating and choking his wife, and didn't fire him and report him to police, he should absolutely be fired.

What the frick, man?

If you are made aware of someone you supervise at work being arrested for a felony, and you don't tell your boss, how do you think that plays out for you?

Does it interfere with his ability to do his job?

Arrested for does not automatically mean guilty of.

It absolutely could affect his ability to do his job, yes he's innocent until proven guilty, but none of that is the point. That's not Urban Meyer's decision to make, he doesn't sign the paychecks. Urban has a responsibility to report it to his employer, and I'd be very surprised if that isn't spelled out in state law for government employees.

Ohio State forced Jim Tressel to resign because he didn't notify them he knew of players exchanging jerseys for free tatoos......and that's not even a crime. OSU is also currently dealing with a sexual abuse scandal involving more than 100 former students.

Doubt it. Fire the guy for being “arrested for a crime” and then when he’s found innocent he brings a wrongful termination lawsuit against your arse so fast (and he should) it will make you shite yourself.
