He will probably be a tough pull, but it’s the first time I’ve seen us mentioned with him. We’re in STRONG contention for a lot of blue chip defensive prospects in the 2021 class (Foreman, Page, Jackson, Brooks, Smith, Ryan, Adeleye, Langston, kWilliams, Blackshire). Not to mention the commitment from Davis... and that’s just the defense

He got a CB from Wiltfong to Clemson after he posted his top 5. Not saying we don’t have a chance just bringing some facts.

What the hell is Dabo doing over there to keep getting all these 5 star players to Want to go to Clemson when most don’t want to go to a team that is stacked at a certain position?

You coast through an easy division. You dont have to play any SEC teams, you only have to win 2 games all year. The semifinals and championship game.

This...which allows you to have amazing stats which in turn makes you go high in the draft and get paid

Dildo is also in tune with the lord. Churches funnel the holy ghost to recruits and family. Churches receive the extra blessings for doing so. Once a gump always a gump.

I know we just beat them, and I know that CEO is doing his best to either overtake them or even emulate what they are doing well in recruiting but here are the things that are making it work for them. Some of these they just do better than their direct competition:

1. Camps- their camps are huge in attendence at they do alot of them. Former players do small ones. These camps give them extra 'evaluation' opportunities. People forget that limits on evaluation days is a hamper on recruiting IF you're dealing with high schools that aren't funded/advanced enough to get you good film. Not highlights... film. One camp had 1100 attendees from 30 something states, including Cal and Washington. That's 1100 trips 1 of 10 coaches didn't have to make.

2. Yes the ACC, but not because of 'easy'. Exposure is one. Yep, you do get better stats and that's part of that exposure. But one thing they show recruits is their predicted TV exposure in various markets; which the ACC TV markets include such cities as NYC, Washington, Atlanta, and Philly. No, doesn't mean shite. But to a 18 year old the idea of fame and celebrity and dreams of attaining such and here's this guy who does ESPN interviews talking about being on TV and 'ratings' it sounds awesome.

3. We're all dirty. But when it comes to being dirty Clemson has an advantage over us dirty SEC fricks. You have to get deep into the muck, take risks, and be very creative to compete with the likes of TAMU/Jimbo, Bama/Saban, and AU/any coach. If you're trying to pay a recruit not to take visits it costs more to do and is harder to do to prevent a visit to Tuscaloosa than Wake Forest.

4. We talk about fences and in-state competition. That's all BS. It's about regions and footprints now. And those regions aren't really defined by state lines either. They are a cultural influence region, or if you prefer 'brand awareness'. They are the dominant recruiting force in their region. That region is defined by how the general public, recruits (of course), and importantly how high schools perceive the university as a whole, not just athletics. Call it a 'warm fuzzy feeling'; a general feeling about the school. Clemson rides on the coattails of some of their ACC brethern in some sense. You think ACC you think Clemson in football and Duke/UNC in basketball even if you are not into sports that much. And those basketball schools are tops in the nation in academics. Clemson gets some 'shine' just be association (they aren't terrible themselves, but they ain't Duke).

5. Culture. We all hear about Dabo's culture at Clemson. Well it's real. BUT, let me address in terms of recruiting. They've broken the mold when it comes to culture. In a way they are copying Saban and then taking it a step further. You've heard the saying commit to the school, not the coach. They've turned that on it's head a little bit. To go with everything above they've decided to create what I would call mini-cults of personality centered around Dabo and Venables. They've tacked on to all the 'what the university has to offer' and personalized it based on the coaches. So instead it is 'what the university has to offer, and what I'm going to do for you'. Yes, this happens with every coach at every school; it's natural because of relationships. But they've chosen to use that directly and focus on it in the longevity, reputation, results, and perception of both Dabo and Venables. Those two in particular are part of their marketing strategy.

Their obvious emphasis on valuing Christian faith there is a huge draw to lots of these guys and their families!! I was actually pleasantly surprised when I saw it frequently mentioned in reasons for players' choices.......

He’s not gonna go to Clemson just because they have fun. Dabo gives them 2 extra weeks off and they do fun things. UNC do fun things and their close to home. If he wants a tough schedule they can say that Louisville, Florida State, UNC, and Clemson are all competitive. I don’t think we get him but we shouldn’t turn away an elite 5 star talent. We should focus on Maason Smith.

Right now it is a pretty easy sell, “we play in a conference where we play for the championship every year and we end up playing for a Naty and we have won two in the past 4 years.

Oh and I am as just as good at putting players in the NFL as Saban is, only I am a hell of a lot more fun to play for!

Kinda sells itself actually
