Update on Nyckoles Harbor: Announces when he will commit, and more

Harbor will be announcing February 1st.
He will not be deciding until he has completed visits to Georgia, LSU, and Maryland (which he was there for the OSU game)
Georgia has now entered the mix, Harbor interviewed and said Bowers and Washingtons roles have really intrigued him on the offensive side of the ball.
South Carolina is considered right now as the favorite, and especially after their big win they have some momentum.
Its looking like his top 5 at the end of the day will be LSU, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, and Michigan.
IMO, I think once he visits we will know more. He has legitimate interest and he hasn’t even stepped foot on campus yet.

Heard his girlfriend committed to USCe for track, so that's one other factor, if true.

Interesting that South Carolina are the favorites with a few recent LSU insiders projecting him as an LSU land in their final signing day rosters. Rumblings that his girlfriend has landed at SC, but it’s also odd that he didn’t commit right there with her or even around the same time frame, he’s giving it until February, which is also telling that he’s not ALL IN on South Carolina and she may not be THE major factor in his commitment. I have assumed he was Michigan’s with LSU right there, but adding Georgia to the mix, is interesting.
I read that LSU is pitching him on the defensive side and their elite nutritional program. It’s also important to note, Cain is far and away his favorite person in the entire recruitment process. Kelly also has more success than just about anyone with tight ends, so perhaps they’ll just let him join the squad in any position.

I think this would have to be the play. Sure, you'd love to have him on defense, but if ypu have to take him on offense, you do. I'd rather have him on offense than not have him at all. Helps the Track program too.

Shea Dixon said today that Harbor's aunt is an assistant track and field coach at LSU. Harbor says she is recruiting him to LSU.

Exactly, better to have him as a hybrid of sorts than say Georgia getting their hands on him as a tight end. He can be a MAJOR mismatch in the right schemes
