It really doesn't matter. In my humble opinion, the Tigers need to beef up (pun intended) their O-line depth. I've looked at the roster and depth chart. I expect Charles and Cush to declare for the draft. Lewis is a senior. I expect Deculus would come back. There are past signees (Bradford, etc.) on the roster, and part-time starters (Hines; Rosenthal) returning, along w/ Kardell Thomas. My view (and I of course understand Coach O and staff know their needs best) is that I would think a team would sign a minimum of 3 O-linemen per recruiting class, and probably should sign 5-6. This seems to be one area, for some reason, that LSU struggles with. So, if they can sign the Warren Easton center and another O-lineman or two, I think that might not lead to a higher class ranking (which is really meaningless) but lead to more needed O-line depth.

Yeah but Burrow wasn’t in any of those classes and Burrow is a pretty big reason we are number 1 right now.

Just went through every class since 1999. This current class avg player rating is higher than every class since then. That's all you need to know.

If we can hit 300 that will be our highest rated class ever.

That's not what's going to happen. First, there is greater than a 50% chance that we won't get Evans. Second, the recruits we add from here on out are going to be mostly three star recruits. Third, we will not be able to fill out this class.
To make lemonade out of this, O could go find a couple of defensive linemen in juco, or the portal, who can come in and provide two-deep depth NEXT year when we will desperately need it.
