I'm not. That is an LSU family. His dad his brother, cousin, uncles, are all big LSU fans. His sister was quite a softball player. I don't know if she made it to big time college ball though.

Yea, actually his family owns the Danny & Clyde's gas stations in NOLA. Also own the gas station equipment company that installs/maintains the gas pumps.

Back when Broach was dominant, he has lost some velocity since then, and struggled this year at tulane.
He hasnt lost any velocity. He was hitting 93-94 vs FSU in the regionals
and by freshman standards, he had a pretty good season

Really I didnt know he was hitting 93 in the regionals, but I did see him hitting that when he was winning the American Legion national chamionship, and then I saw him pitching in the Jay Patterson shootout the next year hitting 89 and the scout next to me(LA Dodgers) saying he didnt think he could generate any more velocity.
I dont think he sucked(5.15 ERA) but talking to his former pitching instructor(Jason Navarro) after the 1st weekend series he said that he should be their #2 starter by seasons end. So he didnt live up to the expectations granted they were very high for a freshman.
