All of the guys we have been recruiting can play multiple positions so we could get the best guys on the court. We could have Simmons at 4, Lyle at 3 and Blakeney at 2 with the three guys coming in this weekend with no problems.
And who knows if Gray even stays next year. Reports have been pretty amazing from him. We shall see, but I say we take as many of these good/elite SGs as possible. They have good size so we could run with a couple of them.

Yep, it's one of Johnny's big things. He loves guys who can fill multiple holes. It's why Ben is his dream recruit. Ben can do anything he wants on the court. Theoretically, you could lose Grey, sign Blakeney, Lyle, and Sampson, and start some combination of our 2's in the back court and have Ben as our primary ball handler. Basically our Australian LeBron.

Had someone tell me Lyle wants to enroll in January and play this season, having a couple open scholarships should help make us legit players for him.

Solid if true. Would be HUGE for LSU to get another shooting guard in. One injury at that spot and we are totally screwed.

Honestly doubt it happens. Even if it did it would be a Chris Walker or John Odo situation. He'd probably RS. Also not sure if he'd count towards this class or the 2014 class.

Doesn't matter what class he counts towards... Scholarship restrictions are only on roster spots.

I was mainly talking about recruiting rankings there. I really like being able to claim a top ten class. Feels good man.

Meh. College basketball recruiting class rankings are silly to me... Some places get 1 guy and some places get 7 guys... That's ridiculous to try and compare. Just get good players.

I'm sick of people doubting our program man. Obviously we see the improvement and the upward trend because we love LSU basketball, but those other douchebags don't and really good recruiting is a way to rub it in those bastards faces.

Yea I feel ya. Let's get the results this year and really bring it next season. Really need a couple SG's in this class to fix our roster issues. Would be so great to keep one or both of Mickey/Martin also.

What the program needs is on the floor results. This will get the top 10 results. I believe the coaches can recruit but they need to show results to help close the deal.

It's not like those guys were first round one and done prospects when entering college, so it won't look bad.

If you're a top ten recruit (Martin), the expectation is 1 and done, 2 at most.

I just seen on IG a video of Blakeny throwing Simmons a alley from three point line and Lyle recording it. This had to be before the game last night. I hope we can pull blakeny off after this crazy weekend in BR

Damn that article was encouraging. Sound like he absolutely loved his visit. I know Ben and Jarell were doing work. Hopefully we can get something from Tone.

I feel more encouraged by Lyle than Blakeney at this point. I feel like if UK wants Blakeney, he is theres. I'm hoping UK ask him to go in a different direction and we get him by default.
Hope I'm wrong. Would love all three here together. That would be a huge class. Like big time.

Oh, I agree. I think it's a big deal that Blakeney hasn't committed to UK. If they're making it clear to Blakeney that they wanted him, I think he'd of already committed. Either that or Tone is worried about playing time. Either way, it's good for us.
