Looking less and less likely Blakeney commits to Louisville anytime soon. Some Louisville insiders are saying that Pitino is already turning his attention to Perry Dozier, since they get the feeling that Blakeney doesn't want to end his process soon.
Hopefully we can convince Elijah to change his visit date to the 19th.

So Blakeney is in Louisville right now. Got to hope that greasy frick Pitino doesn't break the bank for Antonio.

I talked to a friend today that's close to the Madison prep basketball program and he was telling me that B Samp fit better with UCLA than he do with us. He said he don't have the physical SEC body which is true. I think with his skill level he can overcome that so I think he still sign with us.

What's the latest on Blakeney?

Enjoying his visit, Louisville coaching staff isn't expecting a commitment, which is great for us. If we can make it through the week without Blakeney committing, then he's ours IMO.

Looks like Eric Davis cancelled his visit to LSU.

Damn it. Was a supreme long shot anyway. Gotta keep pressing for Sampson.
Think I saw Blakeney next to that sleazy frick Pitino on ESPN earlier. Hopefully Miami beats that arse tonight.

Courtesy of B Samp Instagram he was doing shooting drills with automatic passing machine in LSU practice facility which is a good look. Josh Gray commented joking saying congrats on the commit #family. So we look in good shape

That's definitely a good thing. I'd also like to take a moment to talk about Josh Grey. Dude has been doing work recruiting for us. He and Elijah Thomas seem super tight.

Looking less and less likely Blakeney commits to Louisville. I think he's leaving their campus as we speak. We got dis here.

If we can reel in Blakeney and Elijah, this is a Final Four caliber team next year. Now if only we could find a way to convince Mickey and/or Martin to stay one more year

Posted on 9/2/14 at 9:42 am to GeauxAggie972
I can't see us getting Elijah and one of Mick and Martin staying. Elijah is an immediate starter, but M&M would be too good and too experienced to bench. And Elbert will be in his second year. My ideal scenario is still Mickey and Martin leave, we sign two bigs, and we go from M&M to E&E.
PG: Josh Grey, Tim Quarterman, Jayln Patterson, Antonio Blakeney
SG: Blakeney, Keith Hornsby, Brandon Sampson, Tim Quarterman
SF: Ben Simmons, Brandon Sampson,Brian Bridgewater, Tim Quarterman
PF: Elijah Thomas, Noah Dickerson/Alex Owens/?, Brian Bridgewater, Ben Simmons, Aaron Epps
C: Elbert Robinson, Darcy Malone, Elijah Thomas, Aaron Epps.
Ship.

I think you're more likely to see this if Elijah, Simmons, Sampson, Blakeney, McVeigh commit:
Gray - Tim - Patterson
Blakeney - Sampson
Hornsby - McVeigh - Bridge
Simmons - Elijah - Epps
Elbert - Darcy
Gray - Tim - Patterson
Blakeney - Sampson
Hornsby - McVeigh - Bridge
Simmons - Elijah - Epps
Elbert - Darcy

I could see that. Just like having the ability to bring both Hornsby and Sampson off the bench.

I sure hope TQ can continue to develop his jump shot. If so, I'd feel more confident with him playing SG.
I'd also like to see J Martin stay for his JR year, if possible. He'll really need to pick it up in a hurry this season if he wants to leave early.

Tim just needs to be a threat from the 3-point line. Besides, he's not a real answer at our second guard spot anyway. He can handle that role in spots, but he's more comfortable at PG IMO. SG is a real need in this class.

Elijah Thomas's visit starts tomorrow. God it would be great if we could somehow lock him up. Imagine him and Elbert. It would be criminal.

Just bully teams down low with their strength and Simmons' athleticism would just be unfair

Blakeney and Sampson on the wing too.
Speaking of which, reading the Louisville 247 board is fricking hilarious. They all swear up and down that Pitino is a saint and would never cheat, but all SEC teams are immoral cesspools that have to cheat to win. Their mod makes me laugh too. Dude posts straight up non info that his "sources" tell him that he can easily cover for when it turns out he's wrong. shite is too funny.
