It's good to see us giving out in state offers this early. Most of us familiar with recruiting understand why LSU has to hold off on in state offers as opposed to offering out of state guys like water.

However there are a few who don't understand why we have to be cautious when offering in state guys.

You run the risk of really damaging relationships with high school players and coaches in state if you offer prematurely and then for whatever reason have to pull that offer.

You have to be on point with your evaluation of the in state player and be ready to accept his commitment, whereas you can throw as many non-commitable offers to OOS kids as you want with very little risk of damaging long term relationships.
