Every state loses 1-2 top talents to Bama every year? Yeah...
People arent really as upset that the kid is leaving the state as much as they are upset that the kid is leaving the state for Alabama.

I love these casual recruiting fans who come into this thread with no knowledge about LSU and Tims relationship/recruitment.

I think Beckwith is a better talent and he'll end up at DE. Williams is good though.
They are certainly completely different types of players, even though they could have likely both played at DE at LSU... I still think Williams would have been a stud here after a year under Moffit.

He fits better in the Bama system anyway..a Courtney Upshaw hybrid backer/rush end

Wrong. LSU backed off because they knew they had no chance at getting him. It wasn't character issues or questions about his conduct off the field, LSU just lost and moved on. Nobody here wants to admit this but it's the truth.

You're a fricking moron

Uhh, Courtney Upshaw is a friggin monster. He's like 275lbs. Not saying Williams couldnt put on that much weight, but Williams is more of a finesse DE.

Do you think he'll play at the Jack LB he was promised?

You're just as ignorant and uninformed as the people claiming that Tim has attitude issues and no interest from LSU. Yes Uhigh is on campus but if you knew anything about Tim or this process you'd know that although he has always been interested in LSU he didn't really grow up a fan of LSU at all. He just transferred to Uhigh sophomore year as well so it's not like he's gone to school on campus all of his life. Tim is very good and Bama should be excited about this commitment but LSU has consistently had one of the best defensive line units in the nation over the last few years and if you think that will change this year even losing a few guys, you are kidding yourself. Brick Haley and Chief have plenty of talent coming in and ready to step up on the D line.

Tim Williams is very good. Anyone who says otherwise is butthurt.
LSU still has an outstanding DL class and will move on just fine without him. Anyone who says otherwise is butthurt too.
Regarding LC, those saying he is a bust after only playing special teams as a freshman are extremely butthurt. The fact that those posters bring his name up in a thread all about Tim Williams just further exemplifies this. He will probably play a lot, and he will probably be very good.

He's going to be good wherever he ends up.
You're very wrong deuce. If LSU wanted him and he was a priority, LSU would have recruited him hard until the ink was on the paper or at the very least he'd committed elsewhere. Our coaches have never, ever done otherwise or "given up" on a recruit they coveted.

Yes, although I think it'll be interesting to see how he evolves in their weight program along with their defensive scheme. I know Jack LB is every Bama fan's recruiting g-spot, and a lot of players can be sold on it because it has veratility.

If he goes to Miami or something, I'll wish him the best. But a kid from U-High going to Bama is asking to be disliked, and he knows it. I hope he never sees the field and, in two years, transfers to UAB to get playing time.

LSUs coaches backed away from this kid and this board needs to do the same.
