I think we need about 3 or 4 more like this. Go get all the DL prospects from Louisiana, Miss, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Missouri and Tenn that you can possibly find with the same type of frame and talent. Bring those guys in here and let them develop.
Do the same at corner and in 3 years we’ll be getting the 4* and 5* talent to add to these guys already developing. Then you play the best guys. It’s that simple. No LSU can’t sustain success by having to settle every year but that isn’t what’s going on at LSU. We have down years but we’ll have good years to add those physically gifted kids as well as these later bloomers.
You let the guys who aren’t developing transfer and you keep bringing in talent. In 3 years we’ll have a full 2 deep roster at every position just like we have now on the OL and along the entire offense. We will get there but it does take some time to build that “quality” depth.
That doesn’t mean we won’t have enough talent to compete with the big boys, it just means we’ll keep having to develop, bring in better talent and scout the portal for immediate impact players to fill starting roles.
My hope is by then we’ll have a great reputation for offensive players and defensive players to be able to land the nationally recognized prospects and add the best Louisiana players from HS every year.

He’s visiting LSU for the ATM game. I’m assuming it’s an OV.
He’s also visiting USC.

Recruiting ranking stars should not matter to them. They should evaluate talent regardless of a 247/on3 ranking.
Those rankings are for idiot star gazing only fans like oktiger who think McKinley is still some can’t miss product because he’s on a list

True. I seriously hope the coaching staff isn’t using recruiting rankings to drive their own evaluations lol

Awfully strange the rankings generate 100s of millions of dollars. Seems your opinion is in the minority.
Which group would you blindly find more credible, the one with nothing personally invested that determine a majority backed ranking or the group with personal feelings vested that likely have an axe to grind, perceptionally at the very least? If McKinley were committed to LSU this rankings discussion would take on a different tune.
I personally believe McKinley is overrated and am far from a rankings defender but the money and statistical analysis of them do lend them credibility even if loosely.
