Yea Williams is NOT coming here. Definitely felt bad for Ellis. Not saying we need him because I'm pretty sure we've got as good of a group of corners coming in as we've ever had, but that was tough. It's one of the best programs in the nation, an hour away from where you live, you have friends going there...and you CAN'T go there. Even if you want to, they don't want you...tough pill to swallow for a young kid.

We are missing the boat on Ellis. He is going to be a good one with that chip on his shoulder. A&M is getting a good one.

That's what I thought after watching it.
ETA: only because Beckwith is declaring at the game, so I would have guessed they were talking about his decision.

I've been telling this board for a while now every time his name comes up that Noel Ellis jr. is good kid, and argueably one of the best cover corners in the state he went first team All State three years in a row and earned the nick name Ellis Island he's a awesome cornerback, I was stunned that he wasn't offered by LSU because he didn't attend camp, there are plenty of kids from across the nation that haven't even attended a college campus and get an offer from a Top Ten program. He had offers from pretty much every SEC school and he didn't attend camp there, so that's why his father was upset. Just put yourself in his fathers shoes and really ask yourself would you be mad or not, and not to mention NE sr. and FW are childhood friends.

If I was jus dad, would I be pissed? Yes.

He should've handled a little better I agree, but in the heat of the moment he exploded, I guess he was trying to defend his son at that moment. My sources told me his father was very apologetic to his son because he should've handled it different.
