This class compared to BK’s other classes

This class is already Kelly’s second highest class (in terms of points, according to 247 sports) with 278 points. His highest was in 2013 with 285 (this includes transfer portal signees).

This will probably be his worst class at LSU too. He’s going to do very well here.

With just over 2 months to do it, and a full staff assembled in under 3 weeks.
We might have missed some shinies but overall its a decent class that filled a lot of holes.

I saw many national news outlets yesterday making fun of LSU striking out on so many recruits and pointing back to BK's awkward dance videos. Yet, he still finished with a top 6 class after a complete purge on the staff. I'd say that's almost unheard of.

2 months ago and solidified the commitments, had to hire his entire staff, hit the portal, took a top 6 rated recruit away from Jimbo, and ended up with the #6 overall class in the country. ND was 8th and Brian Kelly recruited both classes.
But what is the media talking about? Danny Lewis going to Bama and that Brian Kelly had a video dancing with him but he went to Bama. I mean this is a 3star TE who was committed to Cincy and was not on LSU’s radar until BK arrived and he had a good game in the 4A Championship Game. Now the media acts like Lewis was some kind of must get. Truth be known LSU landed a TE named Mason Taylor who has been committed to LSU from Florida & is higher rated than Danny Lewis. Taylor’s signing just does not suit the Media’s agenda of boosting certain teams.
How does Aaron Anderson jump 137 spots on 247’s list and Walker Howard & Will Campbell both drop from 5 star players which they have always been to being 4 star players just a week before signing day when nobody has played a game in months? Quincy Wiggins would have gotten a 5th Star as well had he gone to Bama instead of throwing the Bama cap across the room when he signed with LSU.
247’s rankings are manipulated and influenced by their own interests.

Yeah the Media can play their games but SEC Coaches know that it’s a new day in Baton Rouge. Kelly still has 5 more scholarships to give and the Portal awaits. I bet BK takes 2 or 3 more from the Portal and saves a couple for after Spring.
By the way, after all the Media buzz about Billy Boy at Florida the Gators finished
17th overall in recruiting. The Gators big 2 recruits went to Miami & LSU but no mention of Billy flopping? Hmm?

Kelly did great with this class. Consider he had 2 months worth of recruiting with an incomplete staff. I anticipate spring will be busy as well,

I saw a couple of the dance video articles, but I also saw several outlets, including ESPN, posted stories calling LSU one of the biggest risers of the day after getting Perkins. The overall narrative in recruiting stories had LSU in a positive light.
