There’s no way around it

It’s extremely disappointing seeing a truly dominant Louisiana recruiting class getting raided by nearly the entire SEC West.
This was supposed to be a year where the talent available could fuel a national title run in three years.. now that vision isn’t so clear when half of the top ten is going to Alabama/A&M because of NIL deals
There is a way to salvage this class, though, and it’s through the portal. For every Leveon Moss lost, you can gain a Tank Bigsby. For every Shazz Preston, you can grab a Freshman All-American tackle in Miles Frazier to boost LSU’s porous O line.
It’s time for LSU to embrace the chaos and go hard after big time transfers and start spending BIGLY through NIL deals. Otherwise, what’s happening to Auburn will happen to us if we don’t get our shite together

recruiting isn't the whole puzzle anymore. The transfer portal is where it's at now. A considerable percentage of these guys will hit the portal in the next 2 years.

I’m not too worried about. Half these kids will quit anyway within 2 years.
Plucking free agents from the quitter portal is just as important as recruiting HS now anyway.

It happens when a coach is so terrible the entire program needs an over haul. Things will get better once the coaches get on their feet. Kelly hasn’t been here long at all.

It got raided because we fired our coach and have gone .500 over two seasons. Everyone that expected us to hire a coach two weeks ago and reel in a bunch of recruits have absolutely zero awareness.

Yep, Texas is devastated that they lost Quinn Ewers last year to Ohio State.

And to expect that new coach to hire coordinators and a staff in 2 weeks too. This stuff takes weeks if not months to sort through. And then at least 2 to 3 years to figure out and fix.

Not sure why everyone is acting as if this isn't significant. I mean the idea of having to defend law, preston, and anderson is sickening. You guys keep saying PORTAL PORTAL PORTAL..well who's to say we're going to sign any of the good ones. We will be fine in the long run but this is major no doubt.

We’ve never had problems getting great RB’s and WR’s. What we do have is arguably the best QB and OT in the country, which we HAVE had problems getting before.

Of course it's significant, but I'm not sure why everyone who's pissing and moaning about it can't realize that there's really nothing anyone can do about it at this point.
You think Preston, Law and Anderson are more important than getting a solid coaching staff in place that can fix the culture of the program?

Yeah, this doesn't have anything to do with it. Texas has been a bigger dumpster fire than us in recent years and they just landed a 5 star OT and 5 star QB.
A&M has been the definition of mediocrity under Jimbo yet they're in position to finish with the #1 class.
None of this would be happening if elite players cared so much about the recent records of those schools.

As long as Jimbo is at A$M, they aren’t going to consistently bust anyone’s arse. They’re a 10 win team max and I don’t care how much talent they sign.
