We all know Victor is the #1 recruit in LA for his class. It's been that way since his freshman year.

Here's Victor's write up

quote:

1. Craig Victor, PF, 6-8, 215, St. Augustine

Just as Leonard Fournette is the top player for football for the Class of 2014, the school on A.P. Tureaud also is the home to Louisiana's top basketball player. Victor can be downright dominant at times in the post and has consistent range up to 17 feet. Victor, the 2012-13 NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune Large Schools Player of the Year, has been on the radar of schools across the country since his freshman year and drew Kentucky Coach John Calipari in for a visit in March. LSU, UCLA, Florida, Oklahoma, Baylor and Arizona are among a long list of suitors.

What's surprise to me on the list is where Trey Touchet checks in and the reason why he's ranked there. He's ranked #12.

quote:

12. Trey Touchet, SG, 6-2, 180, St. Thomas More

The reigning Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year has struggled against elite competition in the Nike EYBL but has shown steady improvement from his first games on the circuit. His competitive fire and scoring ability make Touchet an intriguing prospect. He's drawn the attention of Stanford and Baylor.

I know a lot of people in here were trying to put forth an arguement why LSU should be recruiting him.

Truth is the kid can ball. Whether or not he is LSU material is the debate. The kid has skills and it comes off as petty when people say otherwise.

13. Reginal "Monsta" Johnson, F, 6-3, 230, Richwood

Johnson is a power forward trapped in a linebacker's body. He averaged 28 points and 15 rebounds last season and has shown the ability to consistently knock down shots from upwards of 23 feet. His ball handling will determine whether or not he can be an effective wing player in college.

Somebody get this kid some shoulder pads and point him to the sport he should be playing.

Thanks HTF.

Is Victor a one and done guy? I know you said he wasn't looking at school that way. Just wondering if anything has changed now that things are getting closer.

Those are some D-End measurements for a kid his age.

If he can "ball" and is an elite talent, then he shouldn't be struggling against compariable competition. He's a decent player, but he's not elite as some make him out to be on here.

Touchet will play Division 1. It's just a matter if he ends up at a mid major or high division. He is good enough to play at LSU but doesn't fit Coach JJ's system. Bad fit for both parties. Stanford has been on the kid hard for the past few weeks which I think would be a good fit for him.

The only guys with offers are Victor, Thompson (reports one, dunno if good), and Magee, correct?

Article says Keys has one as well. Wonder if Jonathan Stove will get looked at harder if we lose Malik.

I think Keys has one but has no shot of qualifying.

yeah no shite. 6'3" 230 and obviously a really good and explosive athlete? 28 pts and 15 rbd average? damn

Kid needs to seriously change sports. Is he a senior? (is everyone on the list a senior?)
