is it important to go out and recruit and sign the best talent you can? absolutely. does an early signing period or national signing day matter as much now with the portal? absolutely not.

some of you are still thinking this is 2015 and LSU needs to sign all these guys now to be competitive.

i'd argue the portal is more important than tomorrow. kiffin came here because of LSU's commitment to NIL and the portal, not just signing dudes tomorrow and on NSD

Exactly. We're processing kids that Lane doesn't fit the bill. Trust the fluidity. The portal is going to be massive. He will build a recruiting class for 2027 and possibly some big fish for 2026 Feb signing.

Great point this is a class with a fired HC whatever happens the portal class this year probably more than any in the kiffin era at lsu is huge. We could use 2 QBs, a rb, WRs, O-line, EDGE, a LB, dbs for depth

I'd respectfully disagree. Your championship teams are built on recruiting & improvements are made through the portal.

QB may be one of the few exceptions.

Your foundation is recruiting.
