His mission is not only to be the best DT, he wants to be the Best player in the Nation.

don't worry he will move up

well on rivals, there is only 1 DT ahead of him, and it's michael bennett from ohio who is also a 4*, and #30 on the rivals100.

heck, timmy jernigan, who everyone billed as the best DT in the country this spring is #3, and 45 overall.

He's a five-star-must-have-go-all-in-for-him kinda player for every team in the nation, regardless of stars.

After mangling ever OL/FB/RB that dares step on his field next year, he will get his fifth star.

Him not getting a 5 star ranking is the best thing that could have happened to him. He's going to be a beast in the weight room and out for blood on the field.

Nola.com had a pretty good right up about what he thinks about it too.

quote:

"I'm proud to be the No. 2 player in the nation,'' Johnson said. "I'm going to work hard to try to take that No. 1 spot. This is a great accomplishment for me. I've worked hard to be in this position.

He's not really that good. I don't know what all of the fuss is about.

Might be mistaken, but I do not think he has done the early camp circuit which they depend pretty heavily on for early rankings.
