the fact Artie has stated LSU is a dream school, LSU has an elite Track Program, Elite Football Program, and produces perennial NFL defensive backs for the last decade, chance of keeping his commitment are dwindling.

I love it...good work CalTiger

I called into Bill King's show last Thursday when they had their recruiting expert on and asked about Priest Willis and he mentioned Artie Burns as a solid player that we would probably land over Willis. Good to hear this from another source.

For being a UM board, they are extremely unbiased. I'm impressed.

The Canes had 4 titles within an 8 year span but it took 10 more years for the next one. They are in fertile recruiting grounds and know that the right coach can get them a title very easily.

They don't care about losing the occasional recruit since there is plenty more where it came from and the right coach can ignite that spark for the championship ala butch davis.

Les has always recruited Artie Burns very hard and it appears he is not giving up.

If he comes back on an official with his mom, I think it's a done deal. He visited on his own dime the first go around on an unofficial to see if he and his mom should schedule an official later on down the road.

Would definitely love having him, moreso than Priest. Priest is good don't get me wrong, but we are going to be taking a few guys like him next year that have that size to potentially play either CB or S. Burns is a CB plain and simple and would be nice to have two stud CBs from the Miami area, especially after Peterson came here

The dude said during his COMMITMENT interview with Miami that LSU was his dream school? He's going to be a Tiger

By him being moved up to the #1 safety on LSU's board does that mean we are not after Willis anymore or is Willis projected to be a CB?

with cutrer's grade issues and it being pretty much over with willis, id say this is why....and its nothing against the kid because he will be a monster, he just wasnt as high on our board at the time of his commit to miami imo

Pretty sure Burns is being recruited as a CB, not safety

Definitely has the skills to play either after watching his highlight film, but his size lends him more to CB I think. His film is incredible too. Lots of hard hits.

Gonna have to watch his film again. I try not to watch film of players that we only have a shot with because then I get excited about them, until they commit somewhere else
