what other school in this state has more NFL players?

maybe 1 or 2 at the most? If that

uhh yeah it is. Do i really have to start listing players?

quote:

Wade had a good college career....really?

good enough to be named to an all sec team.

quote:

Geigger...hmmm

yeah, starting and getting 3 letters at Texas isnt an accomplishment. What a shitty football school.

Stevie Lee was also a starter at Texas.

As was Cole Pittman for a short time

Maybe you and I can just agree to disagree on what a good college career is defined as. I'd call those three decent at best.

people always take this course of action when they are wrong.

starting at a BCS school is quite an accomplishment....starting at a perennial power is even bigger accomplishment(TEX, TENN, LSU, Miami, etc.)

So with that in mind, we can conclude that Luke Sanders EXCELLED then....right Lester. Damn, you're inconsistent.

two of the MANY examples i gave...

both were WAY more productive than Sanders, who had like 12 starts and 30 tackles as a SR linebacker. Just horrible

Hester
Berlin
Dawson
Josh Booty
John David Booty
Wade

NFL guys.

Chase Pittman may or may not be on the Browns roster still.

all of those guys EXCELLED.

Sanders started, which is a small accomplishment...But he didnt excel. He was horrible and likely had lewd photo's of Miles

Listen and keep up...

I responded to the poster that said MANY OUT OF STATE EXAMPLES!!!!!!!!!

If you want to hang your hat on Wade, Berlin, Geigger, and Lee; be my guest.

I will concede Dawson. The rest either underachieved or were insignificant. You are arguing just to argue.
If Wade, Berlin, Geigger or Lee played for LSU, you'd be bitching about the fact that they never lived up to the hype.

You bitch about starting strong side LBs from National Championship teams not having enough tackles for the love of Christ.

I have seen Brandon Jackson play numerous times. He is a tough, aggressive, very solid defensive player. He will get on the field for Texas A&M for sure. On the other hand, I don't see him as exceptional.

The Evangel defensive player I want to see at LSU is Jamauria Rasco if he ever finishes high school. That is not to say Rasco is having trouble academically. He is very smart. It's just that he was great as a 14 year old 9th grader (All State first team). He could have played in college this year as a 10th grader. I believe he set a national HS record for tackles or sacks. The guy is awesome. LSU needs to get him early. I hope they are on top of this one. A&M is one of the schools that have already offered even though he has two more years in HS. Hopefully the pipeline will end with Rasco.

If TAMU has a pipeline, then it obviously is carrying raw sewage. It is sad that Louisiana boys would demean themselves in this way.

Horrible wording on my part. Should have read the school has produced more than one D1 FBS athlete who produced in addition to Hester

not really. Geigger was at least as good as Jack Hunt was.

Berlin is sticking in the NFL as a backup, and Wade is in the NFL as well. Josh Booty played in the NFL for years, and John David will as well.

N-F-L. National Football League. Pretty big deal.

You're just being fricking stupid. An obvious WM fan who is bitter that they never could beat ECA when it mattered. Or bitter that they haven't had as many college players carve out better careers than Evangel players

If you consider Patrick Lewis and Jonathan Stewart raw sewage then you sir are a jackass.

By the way, it is obvious A&M is no threat to LSU at this point so why be a jerk about it?

Gatorade NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE YEAR.....massive underachievement in college and hasn't done squat in the NFL. Those points are not subjective. Making a roster doesn't mean you excelled at a damn thing, except for maybe the combine. But as far as production goes, his college career was a HUGE disappointment. Even Evangel people will tell you that. He was one of (if not THE) most hyped QBs ever produced in this state, and really didn't do a damn thing in college.

quote:

Josh Booty

Massive underachievement based on high school accolades. And by the way, WE'RE TALKING OUT OF STATE DUMBASS!!!! I can tell that reading comprehension isn't your strong suit.

quote:

Wade is in the NFL

For what it's worth, I know Jonathan's dad personally and really hope he does well. But you can't say that he excelled in college. Again, he was drafted for pure speed, not production...period! Serviceable is the word....not excellent. His times in the combines and workouts were off the charts. The rams fell in love with his speed and were willing to give him a shot.

I didn't say that Lewis and Stewart were sewage. I said they were demeaning themselves by climbing in with the sewage. You sir are putting words in my mouth.

My point was that TAMU's classes have not been grand so they must not be pulling much. I am indeed a jackass, but I am a jackass living in Texas that has to put up with all of the UT and TAMU egos. Because of this I feel free to make jokes about them.

You sir, need to lighten up...

you're not even worth arguing with. You have zero perspective on what it takes to play in the NFL, obviously. Or what a successful college career is. Zero. None. Nada. You are clueless

thanks for the info on these two guys

Rasco sounds like a really good player for a high school junior to be.

I just thought the Journal calling signing a couple of players a pipeline was kind of funny.

I am sorry it turned into a debate on whether Evangel players pan out or not.
Any time Evangel or John Curtis get mentioned in a post here it turns into a controversial issue.

They are the big 12 version of Ole Miss.
That is a good comparison..always thinking "this is our year" then the bottom falls out. Except currently, @ least Ole Miss took off last season with a new coaching staff, while the Aggies hit rock bottom. It easy to blame the prior coaching staff for poor recruiting, but I don't buy that for a second. I still say Sherman has a lot to prove from a coaching standpoint, as well as recruiting. Just because you have NFL coaching experience doesn't translate to automatic winning seasons & success- see Nebraska.
