And you can bet they'll tell Fowler he's the reason they aren't having OVs this weekend. Just so they could focus on his in home. Wouldn't be surprised if the entire staff showed up.

His family set this up and fowler called the staff himself to inform them that strong was coming
He's maintained the entire time that he is solid to Lsu. Hail Mary or not, this is texas' last effort and unless he decommits tonight, he's in purple and gold on Wednesday

Texas at least as a recruiting track record historically. It's A&M that is truely delusional in all aspects of their program. Recent success, if you can call it that, is the aberration not the rule. That being said Texas is pretty arrogant.

This feels like desperation by Strong. His seat is already pretty hot and if he lets a local kid slip away it'll just get that much hotter. But if he had a sales pitch that would turn Fowler around he'd have used it already.

Texas thinks they are 50/50 with LSU for Fowler and this is before the Strong visit.
Why would anybody want to play for Texas. Look at the last three years and the number of kids they have sent to the NFL. It is not many.

I said it in another thread, Fowler's family is really being selfish in his recruiting cycle. Kid wants to go to LSU and no one can seem to accept it. The fact that they set this up and that Erick called our staff and gave them the heads up. He's a tiger, nothing Charlie can do.

I can't see any recruit wanting to go to tYexas. Strong is a terrible coach and should have been fired several years ago. They have zero chance of being in the playoffs next year and for the foreseeable future. LSU at least has a decent chance to make a NC run.

The fact that he called the staff and let them know leads me to think he is as solid as it gets. Hopefully thw call was to reassure our staff hes not going anywhere.

He's only been there 2 years. Should they fired him before they played a game? Texas wasn't a dumpster fire when he took over, it was a 5 alarm all hands on deck city district that had been napalmed. When he came, he was asked to clean things up, graduate kids, and was told he would be given time to change things. I don't care what happens in Austin, but bashing Strong is just ridiculous.
