They’ve become Nebraska. Sark will not change that.

I wouldn’t go that far. They are still the premier program in one of the biggest football hotbeds in the country and have loads of money. I think them being good again won’t help or hurt us much. Will definitely hurt aggy and OU much more.

do you mean Colt McCoy

Yes...yes I do. Thanks...That’s what happens when you post at 4:00AM, not even drunk.

Is that the reason for the downvotes? I don’t care about votes, like in a hurt feelings kind of way, but trying to understand reaction to the discussion.

Like...are people upset that UT has recruited well? Don’t agree that seven top 10 and five top 5 classes in the past 11 years is recruiting well? Maybe. Don’t like UT generally?

Anyway...since I lost a recruiting bet to my longhorn wife Herman’s first two years (#3-‘18 & #3- ‘19) before LSU out recruited them in ‘20, with UT still closing at #8, it’s easy for me to remember they’ve stacked talent for Sark to take over, which was the point of my response to OP saying that they ‘now’ have the potential to rise to the top because he’ll recruit well.

They haven’t been able to win with the top recruiting classes they’ve gotten. Besides the QB spot, it won’t be a difference in recruiting talent, over recent years, that brings them to the top of CFB, eg CFB Playoffs.
